Wear the echo's of the past
I work with vintage textiles and timeworn fabrics, turning them into one-of-a-kind handbags and soft accessories. Every piece begins with the materials — usually small, found lengths of cloth with a story or soul — and from there, I let them guide the design.
My work is quiet, tactile, and rooted in the old world. I’m drawn to things that feel lived-in, imperfect, and enduring. Each bag is made slowly, by hand, with attention to texture, stitching, and soul.
All these elements are woven together into a new bag, garment or accessory, one that holds its own story now, even if you don’t know it.
But know this: you’re getting something one-of-a-kind, never to be repeated — alchemised from pieces that already carry energy, history, and heart.
After six years away from full-time work due to an invisible disability (Central Sensitisation Syndrome and CFS/FM, I’ve found a creative outlet that’s become a tool to work with and connect to people and the planet in a different way.
Birds are a recurring theme in my world (and Instagram), where bags and feathered friends often share the spotlight.
Whether I’m collaborating with other artists, selling at markets, or wandering Western Park birdwatching, this journey has connected me with an amazing community and new found friends — and a few pigeons, too (including several generations of balcony-raised squabs along with my companion parakeets Pickle & Percy.
